Barnet: Looking Up

Box Clever artists have been working with Primary and Secondary schools in Barnet on the Looking Up project, commissioned by Barnet Primary Care Trust. Over 1200 primary school students experienced Mark and the Marked, which was a combination of powerful performance, live music and interactive workshop in a story of a boy who is bullied and denied friendship.  For pictures of the performance please visit the Photo Gallery

The artists then returned to the primary schools for a follow up workshop with year 6 students, which explored their thoughts and feelings on the big move to secondary schools.

This term Box Clever will revisit some of the students in their secondary schools and see how they are getting on now they are year 7 pupils in the 'big' school. Students will then be given the opportunity to work creatively with the Box Clever team over a week residency during autumn half term. The residency will explore the students dreams, aspirations and transitions in their life's and will culminate in a devised performance.
